You’ve done your part, now it’s time for us to do ours. The construction of your home will commence approximately six months before your closing date. Keep up to date with the progress through our social channels as your community is built before your eyes.

Please note that, although we strive to set and meet realistic construction deadlines, a variety of environmental and operational factors can sometimes create delays.

Once we progress through servicing, road construction, and pouring basements, you’ll be contacted by your design consultant for your framewalk appointment!

Once all of the lumber needed for your home has been delivered, as well as the structural steel, then framing will commence!

First we start with the first deck (floor) before moving onto underground plumbing and then completing framing for the first walls, second deck, and second walls.

Once the framing is complete in your home, you will have a chance to walk through and see the progress that has been made.

Once the foundation has been dug, a home can take approximately 6-8 months to be completed.

The next step in your Customer Journey will be your Electrical Walkthrough.

This gives you the opportunity to see framing and review plugs, switches, and lights. You'll be guided by your Personal Design Consultant through your home during the framing stage.

We know it is sometimes hard to contain your excitement when it comes to purchasing a home; especially a new construction home!

However, visiting an active construction site without be accompanied by a Phelps Homes staff member poses many safety risks. We ask that, unless you have a scheduled appointment to do so, you refrain from visiting the site.

In addition, there are specific health & safety protocols in place to ensure the safety of our tradespeople, staff, and homeowners on occupied sites. Any unauthorized visits to site are in breach of our current COVID-19 Health & Safety protocol.
